Countasty
Eat better, track smarter — healthy food and nutrition in one platform.
What we were handed.
Eating well means using three products that do not talk to each other — one to order food, one to count calories, one to follow a diet plan. Nothing connects the meal you actually ordered to the goal you set, so compliance is guesswork. Meanwhile the healthy-food supply in Egypt is fragmented across restaurants, home chefs, food factories and social-media kitchens that no aggregator lists.
What we built.
Countasty puts ordering, dieting and tracking in one loop. Every order logs its calories and macros into your nutrition profile and scores it against your plan, so the tracking is a by-product of eating rather than a second chore. Behind it sits a Laravel platform we built end to end — provider onboarding, subscriptions, dispatch and a rider app.
The app, screen by screen.
Three of the flows that shaped every architecture decision, rebuilt here as interactive mockups.
Every meal shows what it costs you.
Browsing is filtered by goal rather than by cuisine — keto, diabetic-friendly, high protein, balanced. Calories and macros sit on the card itself, so the nutrition decision happens before the order, not after it. Menus are cached and images sized for the device, because this has to be fast on a mid-range Android phone on cellular data.
Tracking that happens by itself.
Every order logs its calories and macros into your profile automatically and scores the day against your plan. The reason calorie apps get abandoned is manual entry — so we removed it. If you ordered through Countasty, it is already counted.
Offers a rider can accept at a traffic light.
The rider app surfaces one offer at a time as a card — pickup, dropoff, distance and payout — on top of a live map. Accepting is a single tap. Completing is a slide, with an OTP check and a cash-collection prompt for cash-on-delivery orders.
The operator side, built to last.
The portal that actually runs the platform.
Providers manage menus, pricing, nutrition data, store hours and live orders from a Laravel portal. Operations gets a layer above it for onboarding the five provider types, managing riders, and watching orders move through the system in real time.
